Core Software Engineer
There have been some excellent innovations in the way financial products are marketed and how accounts are accessed. But the process of opening financial accounts is still in the dark ages with a heavily paper-dependent process. oFlows addresses this space with a complete end-to-end paperless solution.
The solution is designed to improve the experience of end users by providing a single session experience to provide information, sign agreements, and provide supporting documentation. It also enhances the quality of life for the staff at financial institutions by eliminating multiple manual processes, providing deep visibility into a mission critical process and improving application throughput.
The oFlows platform is built using the following open source technologies - Java EE, MySQL, JBoss Seam, Hibernate, Richfaces. The Core Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing the critical infrastructure of the oFlows paperless account origination platform.
This is an excellent opportunity at an early stage startup and you get to be the first non-founding engineer. We are addressing the multi-billion dollar financial technology market and can readily address a real pain in a mission critical process in over 15,000 financial institutions in the U.S alone. Requirements
- A minimum of four years of software development experience in Java server side technologies.
- Experience working with Hibernate required.
- Experience working with Spring or Seam required (Seam preferred).
- Experience working with some AJAX rich client library preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL required.
- Must be a disciplined programmer with advanced programming skills in Java (no cowboys please).
- Prior startup experience necessary.
- A healthy degree of frustration interacting with banks and financial institutions - and a desire to solve those pain points - is welcome.
- Willingness and ability to take on complex loosely defined projects independently.
- Must be willing to work in San Francisco.
