The Opportunity
There have been some excellent innovations in the way financial products are marketed and how accounts are accessed. But the process of opening financial accounts is still in the dark ages with a heavily paper-dependent process.
The award-winning oFlows SaaS platform allows users to apply for accounts, collaborate with staff members in real time, sign agreements, and provide supporting documentation across multiple channels and on devices with multiple form factors. It also enhances the quality of life for the staff at financial institutions by eliminating multiple manual processes, providing deep visibility into a mission critical process and improving application throughput.
We use Java EE, MySQL, JBoss Seam, Hibernate, Richfaces and jQuery. oFlows has already pioneered several breakthrough innovations including self-indexing documents, electronic "wet" signatures, and oFlows Connect - a see-what-they-see real time collaboration infrastructure.
The Software Engineer (User Interface) will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing the user interface of the oFlows paperless account origination platform.

Requirements
- A minimum of four years of software development experience in Java server side technologies.
- Experience working with Spring or Seam required (Seam preferred).
- Experience designing APIs and working with third-party APIs including proprietary interfaces.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of distributed computing challenges.
- Strong working knowledge of XML, web services and relational databases.
- Experience working with enterprise bus technologies such as MQ Series, ActiveMQ, JBoss ESB or similar is desired.
- Experience working on SOA projects in financial services is desired.
- Prior startup experience necessary.
- Ability to manage partner deliverables and manage around constraints to stay on schedule.
- A healthy degree of frustration interacting with banks and financial institutions - and a desire to solve those pain points - is welcome.
- Willingness and ability to take on complex loosely defined projects independently.

The bottom line is that oFlows is growing fast and we are looking to build out a professional national sales team. If you possess the right combination of sales experience and have a passion for technology then this is where you want to be.
You will be responsible for prospecting/selling our technology solutions to mid-market banks and credit unions. We use a traditional direct-sales methodology powered by a highly customized version of Salesforce.com. You will develop a strategic sales prospecting plan, qualify leads, network in the industry, attend local and national industry events and, yes, make cold-calls.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and develop a strong sales pipeline through self-sourcing activity in-person, at events, over the phone and by establishing a group of networking partners.
- Deliver effective sales presentations in person and through online GoToMeeting sessions.
- Analyze prospects’ loan and account application and workflow processes to determine a value added sales strategy in route to closing new business.
- Deliver customized sales proposals to prospective clients.
- Adhere to oFlows company policies and programs.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with clients for future products/service sales.
- Protect company proprietary and confidential information.
Key Qualifications:
- We’re looking for “hunters” with 3-5 years of outside sales experience and a successful track record selling SaaS or enterprise-level software solutions to financial services institutions.
- Strong technical understanding of enterprise software solutions and the ability to translate technical features into business benefits for the client.
- Experience at selling in a consultative environment and the ability to sell value over price.
- Strong in-person, phone and written communication skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
